La Vereda, Santa Fe NM

[idx-listing mlsnumber=”201200091″ showall=”true”]

La Vereda Compound, a peaceful and quiet residential community, is located in the heart of the historic east side of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The Compound, completed in 1989, combines newer, multi-level homes with older, historic homes and apartments built on the hillside along East Palace Avenue. The Compound is near the site of an old brewery and saloon, reportedly once favored by Adolph Bandelier, for whom Bandelier National Monument is named.
La Vereda is within easy walking distance of the Santa Fe Plaza and world-renowned Canyon Road. The Compound is graced by many tall trees that provide shade and beauty as well as several common area gardens and green spaces.
Nine of the 33 units are stand-alone homes while 20 are attached townhouses in groups of two, three and four. Units 16 through 19 are grouped in an historic two-story building, one of the first apartment buildings in Santa Fe.
The newer units were designed by architect Ed Mazria, champion of “green” architecture, and were built by Communico Inc. Several of these homes use passive solar systems for heating and cooling. All units include designated parking areas and outdoor spaces and there is more than adequate guest parking.
La Vereda Compound is managed by a Board of Directors, Officers and Committee Chairpersons, all resident homeowners, who continually volunteer their time and efforts to maintaining the property and property values of our small community.
The annual condominium fees cover landscaping and maintenance of the common areas while individual homeowners are responsible for the exterior maintenance of their own units. A resident Architectural Review Committee annually inspects each unit and notifies homeowners of required repairs and maintenance issues.
The annual Homeowners’ Association meeting, held each year on the second Friday of June, includes an informal dinner and gathering afterwards.
